[h=1]Still no ID on body found in Westland cemetery last weekend[/h]
Officials say they are still looking to determine the identity of a body found out of place in a Westland cemetery last weekend.

Lisa Croff, spokeswoman for the Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office, said Thursday the body found last weekend in the Islamic Memorial Gardens, located on Ann Arbor Trail in Westland, still had not been identified.

The body, found in the cemetery formerly known as Maple Grove Cemetery, was located at about 5:30 p.m. Jan. 27. The body was out of place with the rest of the cemetery, with Westland police saying it did not appear it was part of the cemetery's normal operations.

[h=1]ID of woman's body found in Westland cemetery remains mystery[/h]
Two days after a woman's body was discovered lying on the ground in a Westland cemetery, the Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office has not made an identification and has declined to make any further comment.

"Sorry, but there have not been any further developments in this case,' Westland Police Sgt. Robert Wilkie told MLive Tuesday, Jan. 30, in response to questions about the ID and possible cause of death. "It is currently being investigated."

Someone walking in Maple Grove Cemetery, 28830 Ann Arbor Trail, found and reported the body about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28.

They could probably get a pretty accurate age range from the bones. As we age the little knobs, bumps and borders that make the bones complete (apiphyses) appear and fuse to the shafts or main bone elements. This fusion takes place with pretty precise age predictability. If we know the approximate age, it might narrow her down from a list of known missing persons.

Not seeing this case in Namus yet. Also no missing Michigan females listed in Namus between 12/3/17 and 1/28/18.

Wait...wait...one reference above states the 27th...one states the 28th?? There is a missing Lansing woman last seen on the 28th. The Namus case says she was last known to be in the Richmond, Indiana area...almost 4 hours southwest of Westland, MI. There is a Richmond, MI...approximately 1 hour northeast of Westland, MI. I'm wondering if the reference to Richmond, Indiania could be incorrect?

Going to do some digging.....

Per Mary Cross with Missing in Michigan, the body in Westland was identified. Searching for confirmation.....
