“Jonathan Owen Miller, 36, was arrested Thursday morning at the residence by police conducting a welfare check on Rachel Elizabeth Brown, 25, the victim.

The shooting occurred sometime before 7 a.m. Thursday, according to a police statement. Waynesboro police arrived to conduct the welfare check a little after 7. Upon arrival, they saw blood “on and near the front door of the apartment, and encountered [Miller] at the residence," according to a statement by Waynesboro police.

Miller was detained as officers searched the apartment. The found Brown with a gunshot wound to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.”

She posted at 12:09am the day she was murdered that she woke up to him standing over her with a knife and that she needed a bodyguard for the next month until she was out of the lease they were on together. *paraphrased*

He came back within the next six hours and shot her.

That last post and video of her finding the knife and her response is very chilling. She had no idea of the evil he was capable of. Poor girl.

This is a throwaway, but I know this guy pretty well. This has been haunting me ever since I heard the news.

I’m at a loss. The VA courts online is super easy to use and even in my tiny city updated within 24 hours of any arrests, hearings, status updates, etc. I can not find this guy with any charges listed and I searched Waynesboro, Augusta Co and Staunton both Circuit and GD courts. Nothing.

Not gonna lie when I looked at the second picture on his Facebook I immediately thought he looked like the BG suspect in the Delphi murder case.

Of course that’s in Indiana and I have nothing at all to link it, JM is likely not at all involved in that case but daaaang that nose.

I have watched the video over and over. I have one question. How does the knife wind up under something, in the position it is in? It isn't like it could slide that way.
