Stranger spanks crying toddler while in grocery store check-out line

I've read some odd articles before, but this one really jumped out at me.

The boy's father, Logan Morris, said he was going through the checkout aisle with his 2-year-old son when the boy asked for candy.

"I told him, 'No, it's too late bud,'" Morris said.

That's when, according to Morris, the man behind them in the line grabbed his son's hand, spun him around and spanked him three times.

This site is in remembrance of a dear friend that was incarcerated at the age of 16. Serving three consecutive life sentences with no chance of parole led him to suicide at the age of 25. These are excerpts from his letters during the last four years of his life, the end of 2012 to the beginning of 2017.

"That's how we deal with kids in Mexico," said Martinez, directly after spanking Morris's child.

Martinez was charged with battery, disorderly conduct, and obstruction of officers. He was also placed on the store's Criminal Trespass Log due to the incident.

While they're at it I hope they check his status here in the US. Jmo

This just makes me so angry. I have a 1 yo and a 3 yo and I would be absolutely livid if someone dared lay hands on my babies. Someone who would hurt a strangers child like that in public seems pretty unstable and potentially dangerous to others as well.

This is nearly as bad as the one here in Manchester, England where a man punched a five day old baby in the face while it’s Mum was shopping in Tesco.
