Jesus Gomez, 51, and Isabel Cuellar, 35, were found burned and dead on Saturday morning after the Robstown Fire Department responded to a blaze near the intersection of County Roads 69 and 44. Police say they believe Gomez and Cuellar were victims of a homicide in Corpus Christi and taken to Robstown, where their bodies were burned.
The bodies were connected to a missing person report in Corpus Christi. Gomez was reported missing from the 4600 block of Up River Road.
The report states the missing person identified as 51-year-old Jesus Cristobal Gomez lived in a trailer behind the home on Up River Road. Gomezs son called police after he saw the backyard looked ransacked and could not find his dad.
Gomez used cinder blocks to step up into the trailer. Those cinder blocks were spread throughout the backyard and had dried blood on them. The window of the trailers front door was broken and officers found a set of teeth, believed to be dentures, in the backyard next to the trailer.
Officers saw a small pool of fresh, red blood on a black tarp lying on the ground. There was also two blankets on the ground between the tarp and the trailer lying on the ground, the report states.
Blood splatter was also found throughout the inside of the trailer.
Splatter was found throughout the right side of the trailer, and on an air conditioning unit. There was a pool of fresh red blood next to the bed, under a table and behind the bed by the ac unit, the report reads. (An officer) observed a large amount of fresh red blood splatter on the ac unit and a large amount of blood spread out on the bed.
