[h=3]One Year Later, Perry County woman still missing[/h]


PERRY COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Glin Street was last seen at her home on Forrest Lake Road on February 21, 2017, and nearly a year later, the missing person case is still open.

Perry County Sheriff Mitch Nobles said it’s a case file that he keeps on his desk every day, and the department is still looking for new leads every day.

Street, 47, was reported missing by a family member, and her live-in boyfriend, Hugo Hugger claimed he was the last person to see her.

“Hugger said the last time that he saw her was sometime around 7:00 that morning when he left to go get some gasoline and go see his probation officer,” Nobles said.

Hugger was named as a person of interest in the case on March 22, 2017, according to Nobles. Hugger is on parole for a capital murder conviction for a Dec. 21, 1982 crime that happened in Perry County.

“We did take him in as a person of interest, brought him in and did some initial interviews with him,” said Nobles. “We thought he was in violation of his parole, but it turns out he wasn’t.”

“We didn’t get any information, as far as anything that he had done to Glin Street, so we had to release him,” said Nobles.

Appears Glin's son took justice into his own hands and shot the POI. POI is on parole for a Capital Murder charge back in the 80's.

The Perry County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s help locating a missing woman. Glenn Street was reported missing on Feb. 22, 2017 and last seen by her live-in boyfriend on Feb. 21 at a residence on Forrest Lake Road around 7 a.m.

Human remains found in wooded area of Forrest County

Forrest County, MS (WDAM) - The Forrest County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after human remains were discovered in a wooded area.

Captain Phillip Hendricks, chief investigator with the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office, said law enforcement was called to the scene off J C Bryant Road in Forrest County around 1:30 p.m. after receiving a tip.

Hattiesburg police also responded to the scene.

Hendricks said the remains have not been identified and are being sent to Jackson for an autopsy.

Distinguishing Characteristics African-American female. Black hair, brown eyes. Glin had long dreadlocked hair at the time of her disappearance. Some accounts spell her name "Glenn".

Details of Disappearance
Glin was last seen asleep in bed at her residence on Forrest Lake Road in Perry County, Mississippi at 7:00 a.m. on February 21, 2017. She has never been heard from again. She was reported missing the next day.

Glin's live-in boyfriend, Hugo Hugger, was the last person known to have seen her, and it was he and one of Glin's family members who reported her missing. At the time of his disappearance, he was on parole for a 1982 murder. A photo of him is posted with this case summary.

Hugger is considered a person of interest in Glin's disappearance, and after some initial cooperation in her case, he stopped talking to the police. In July 2017, Glin's son, Cyrus J. Street, allegedly shot him multiple times. Hugger survived his injuries, and Cyrus was charged with aggravated assault. Police said the shooting was connected with Glin's disappearance and the ongoing investigation.

Glin's case remains unsolved. The circumstances of her case are unclear.

CONFIRMED: DECEASED
DNA testing has confirmed a skull and two femur bones found in the Little Creek community of Perry County belonged to Glin Street.

Perry County Sheriff Mitch Nobles said his department is upgrading the missing person case to a homicide investigation.
