Tribal law enforcement authorities are currently searching for a White Mountain Apache woman who went missing almost two months ago.

According to a flier, the woman, Laverne John, 38, has been missing since Dec. 8, 2017.

John is generally known by her nickname, Geena. She is described as being 5-feet tall and 115 pounds. She has brown shoulder-length hair and is believed to have gone missing from the Pinetop or Hon-Dah casino areas.

I get an permission error on the namus file of this UID and Laverne John is found deceased in the meantime (no further information) according to some FB sides. I can't find anything about a connection between Laverne found and this UID, but it could be her.

Rest in eternal peace Laverne.

I’m appalled there isn’t a local push for info [emoji35]

I feel so sorry and kind of ashamed that so little is done for the indigenous missing and murdered people, women especially.
