I would email and ask the gender question of the CA Dept of Justice Missing Persons Section (Missing.Persons@doj.ca.gov). Of all the agencies I have found them the most responsive of any that I have dealt with.

I wonder if this is related to the child whose skull was found in Sacramento in 1994?

If these are just teeth and no other remains, I wonder why they're investigating this as a possible criminal matter/UID case?
I know I had all of my baby teeth in a 'tooth fairy box' as a kid, and I have no idea what happened to it. Given what we know, I wouldn't be surprised if whoever these teeth belonged to is alive and well.

Is this really just teeth? Do we have any other information about this?

It says partial skeletal remains with some soft tissue. Is it normal for fallen teeth to have some tissue on it?
I would understand more if these were adult teeth.

newspapers.com Sacramento Bee, 15 Nov 88, pg 12. Certainly sounds like a reference to a "handful of teeth" being found, same date, time frame, and next door neighbor. In this case the teeth are described in the article as gold, which is certainly different than primary. One does have to wonder about some type of mix-up somewhere with regards to the description. I've also included a snapshot of the map as provided in the article with the location of the teeth as found, next door to boardinghouse.

This is so weird.
Usually there *is* a tiny but of tissue on baby teeth that come out naturally. I also had a gold crown on one of my teeth as a kid, but it sounds weird for every single one of the teeth to be like this.

Looking at the article, the boarding house/bodies in question are referring to the boarding house ran by Dorothea Puente and her victims (Dorothea Puente - Wikipedia). But she targeted elderly and mentally disabled adults, and I feel like it would be a huge shock if there was a child victim nobody knew about.
