Red Lake police are asking for help finding a woman missing since Jan. 28.

Kalstabakken takes care of her daughter's child, she said, and Dow usually checks in on the baby. When she did not contact her family, Dow's parents grew concerned.
Kalstabakken began trying to find her daughter Feb. 3.
Dow is 5-feet-3-inches tall and 98 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. She has two moles on the left side of her face: one on her cheek and another at the corner of her upper lip.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, FBI and Red Lake Police Department are searching for a 27-year-old Ponemah woman who was last seen Jan. 27.

According to authorities Amy Dow was last seen leaving her residence and has had no contact with friends or family since.

She is described as 5-foot-3, 98 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. Dow also has two moles on the left side of her face; one on her cheek and the other on the corner of her upper lip.

Amy also has a tattoo on her left chest that says "Castillo."

The FBI is asking the public’s help in finding a northern Minnesota woman who’s been missing for nearly a month.

The FBI and the Red Lake Police Department say that 27-year-old Amy Dow was last seen leaving her Ponemah home on Jan. 27.

Dow is described as standing 5-feet, 3-inches tall, weighing 98 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. Authorities say she has the word “Castillo” tattooed on her chest.

Anyone with information on Dow’s whereabouts is asked to call the FBI at 763-569-8000.

[h=1]Father Confirms Body of Missing MN Woman has been found[/h]PONEMAH, MN — The father of Amy Dow confirms that the body of the missing member of Red Lake Nation, has been found.
He tells KVRR Local News that the discovery was not far from her home in Ponemah, Minnesota.
Red Lake Law Enforcement along with the FBI and numerous other agencies have been looking for the 27-year-old since late January.
To this point, law enforcement has not released anything on Dow’s death.

Though officials have not issued a statement regarding Dow’s death, her mother, Chele Kalstabakken, confirmed via Facebook message that Dow’s body was found.


Kalstabakken said that she, along with Dow’s father, sister and brother-in-law found her body after receiving a tip from a friend. Dow was found near her Ponemah home.

Her body was sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

The family performed a Native American ritual in Amy’s home and the “Medicine Man” said they would find her close to her home. An eagle led her family to Amy.

I highly suspect foul play. There was a couple staying at her house after she was missing and they had to be kicked out.

Sending healing thoughts and prayers to Amy’s kids, family and loved ones.

I haven’t seen anything more released. I wonder what the results of her autopsy are. Anybody have an update or hear anything?
