A.Y., 16, and Kevin Esterly, 45, were last seen or or about Monday and they could possibly be endangered. They may be traveling together in a 1999 red, two-door Honda Accord with a Pennsylvania license plate registration of KLT 0529. Y has been reported as a runaway and is believed to be with Esterly. A. is described as a 4-foot-11-inches Asian woman weighing about 90 pounds. Esterly is a white man standing 5-foot-9-inches and weighing 185 pounds.

Allentown police also filed a warrant Wednesday for Esterly’s arrest on a single count of interference with the custody of a child. According to the warrant, Esterly repeatedly signed Y out of the charter school without her parents’ permission.

School officials have not returned calls seeking comment.

According to court documents, Y’s parents alerted police last month about Esterly.

Stacey Esterly, who said she last saw her husband about 6:05 a.m. Monday. Kevin Esterly’s personal documents were missing and, she said, he had withdrawn $4,000 from his wife’s bank account.

Another failure of the school. Both are considered endangered. A previous possession of fire arm charge. That means he is possibly armed and possibly suicidal.

I hope this is not another Zachary Petersen.
 
Esterly signed A. out of her charter school 10 times between November 13 and February 9.

The school’s CEO said she is investigating whether all protocols were being followed in Y’s case. When Y’s mother came to pick up her daughter from school on Feb. 9, she learned Esterly had already picked up the girl. Luu was upset and said Esterly should not have picked her daughter up.

Luu called police Feb. 9 to report Esterly had signed the 16-year-old girl out of the school earlier that day without permission. Court records do not show whether police took any action that day.

The school is cooperating with police. Esterly “has not stepped foot on school grounds” since Feb. 9 when “we were made aware he was not to pick up” the girl.

On Feb. 15, Y’s mother again called police who came to the Luu home on North 18th Street, where they told Esterly and his wife, Stacey Esterly, that they had to stay away from the girl’s home. The documents do not explain why the couple were there.

A few days later, police interviewed Y and she said Kevin Esterly had signed her out of school five or six times, which led investigators to check Lehigh Valley Academy’s records.

How does someone with "no known permanent address" get authorized (by parents) to be an emergency pick-up?
Ten times is alot of emergencies.

A.'s mother called police on Feb. 9 to report Esterly had signed her child out of Lehigh Valley Academy earlier that day without permission, according to court documents obtained by the newspaper.

I've read every article I could find, and I'm still confused. How do they know each other? Is he a family member, or someone who works at the school? Why else would he be able to sign her out? Is his wife involved? If her mom reported her missing Monday, why didn't the police put out an alert until Wednesday?

Yes -- he must be having one of those "mid-life-crisis" kind of things, poor man. :puke:preying on a probably very innocent 16-yr-old.

IMO, that school is in b.i.g. trouble for allowing him to sign her out & pick her up unless more on that comes to light.
 
why was this guy and his wife at A.'s home? We don't know yet but it is hinky on top of hinky. What's going on here?
