Found Deceased AL - Gary Pergler, 48, Troy, 5 March 2018 *Arrest*

The Troy Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating Gary Lee Pergler.Pergler is a 48-year-old white male with dark hair and brown eyes.He is 5’11” tall and weighs 195 pounds. He was last seen on March 5, 2018 around 4 p.m. by neighbors at his residence on Pike County Road 5516. Mr.
Pergler drives a white 2001 Chevrolet Impala with Alabama tag 55BD478.

Troy man was found deceased on Saturday and now five people have been arrested in connection with his death

Gary Lee Pergler’s body was recovered in a rural area on Pike County Road 2274, according to Troy police.

Troy police say Pat Dickey, Jr. and Robert Raymond Johnson have been arrested and charged with murder in Pergler’s death. They are being held on $100,000 bond each.

In addition, police say Ashlee Beebe, Jason Michael Schultz and Jessica Mae Furtado have been arrested on charges of hindering prosecution. They are being held on $5,000 bond each.

Police say after Pergler was reported missing, they found evidence inside his home that there had been signs of a struggle and possible foul play. His car was found last Thursday in the Pocosin area on Melanie Lane. Police say Dickey was in the car when it was discovered.

Pergler says the family is now hoping that the public can assist the family in raising money both to transport her father’s remains from Alabama to Indiana, where the rest of his family lives, and to provide a proper funeral.

“We want to give him a nice funeral,” she said. “His children including myself are young and still paying loans – this was a very unexpected time for his death. We’re not financially ready to completely pay for a funeral and he definitely deserves a great funeral; we thought we’d reach out to see if the public can help.”

Pergler said the Alabama Department of Forensic Science has completed its autopsy of her father’s body and that he was to be cremated Friday.
