Parents accused of murdering, abusing mentally disabled daughter, body found near Blythe
Steven and Jill Williams, ages 40 and 35, are being held without bail at the Riverside County jail in Indio. They were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of murder and willful harm on a child.
It wasn't immediately clear if they had an attorney.
Their arrests came four days after Riverside County sheriff's deputies found the body of Kaylina Anderson, 18. They were investigating an unattended death at a home in the 18-000 block of Pallowalla Road in Mesa Verde, a community just west of Blythe.
According to the sheriff's department, Anderson suffered from "severe mental disabilities requiring her to have full-time care and supervision."
Her "diminished physical appearance" and substandard living conditions led to further investigation at the home and officials removed three children, who were all 6 years old or younger.
