Marysville woman missing two days after leaving work in Nevada County

Sheryl Lynn Donovan was last seen about 6 p.m. Tuesday leaving her job. She was believed to have been headed to her home in Marysville, but her route of travel was unknown, according to a Sheriff's Office Facebook post.

Donovan was driving a 2000 Gold Ford Explorer similar to one shown in a photo released by the Sheriff's Office. Her vehicle's license plate number is 6NST499.

It seems her family had a hard time getting media to share this story. She is still missing. This was her first time to see this client. (she is home health nurse) They have been searching several different routes she may have taken to go home. This is supposedly known as The Wild West, not a very good area.

There is a reward for her to be found and a fb page devoted to this, Not much media coverage- This is supposedly a very rural hilly area, and it is snowing there. Areas between Marysville CA and Neveda City CA, through Grass Valley, Penn Valley and Timbuctoo CA Anyone with connections please help get the word out on this case. Thanks

Missing Woman Found After 10 Days Stranded In Snow
http://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2018/03/26/missing-woman-stranded-10-days/

MARYSVILLE (CBS13) — It’s a miraculous end to a missing woman’s story.

A Marysville woman is OK after says she was stranded in the snow for 10 days.

Sheryl Donovan was on her way to work when she made a wrong turn in the snow-covered mountains. Now her daughter is thrilled to have her mom home safe after more than a week.

“It’s been overwhelming, to say the least,” Ashley Ehlert said.

A photo of the 54-year-old grandmother’s SUV shows the spot where she sat in it for ten days, where she ran out of gas after making a wrong turn, with no cell service to call for help.

After a doctor’s exam, her daughter is now caring for her and still trying to learn what went wrong.

“We’ve spoken with my mom, and her story she’s given us a little bit at a time,” Ehlert said. “I’m sure everyone can understand that this has been extremely traumatic.”

Ehlert says her mom used extra clothes in her SUV to keep from freezing, and only had a single bottle of water with her the 10 days she was missing.

“She did sparsely drink that, so she took her time on exhausting the one bottle of water that she did have,” Ehlert said. “She did eat some snow.”

Donovan’s SUV was found near Camptonville in a desolate spot in Sierra County, and a long way from her home destination of Marysville.

“It would appear she took a right turn when she probably should have taken a left-hand turn,” Nevada County Sheriff Lt. Robert Bringolf said.
