I am local to his home. He is a St. Joe's rugby player who has been missing since Sunday at 1am.

From the link:

"A St. Joseph’s University freshman has been reported missing in Bermuda while on a rugby team tour to the British island territory.

Mark Dombroski, 19, was last seen about 1 a.m. Sunday at the Dog House, a bar in the capital city of Hamilton, the Bermuda Police Service said.

“There is concern for his well being,” the police said in a statement, without elaborating."

How worrisome, prayers he is found!

EDIT Last name is spelled Dombroski, I can't seem to edit the title!

I just came to see if there was a thread for him. Definitely worrisome.

The bar is basically across the street from the water. Legal drinking age in Bermuda is 18. Wonder if any security cameras caught which direction he headed?

Was he there alone at the bar, or with other members of the rugby team?

This article has some information about him.

Prayers he is found safe. His family must be so out of their minds with worry!

From the above link:

"His team is rewarding $1,000 to anyone who has information about the student's whereabouts.

Police on the island have also circulated flyers across the island to help them locate this missing student."

Snip

"He was visiting Hamilton, Bermuda, with his team for a rugby tour when he went missing early Sunday morning from a popular bar on the island.

Dombroski's parents are on the island helping with the search and his two brothers are supposed to fly in Monday to assist, police say."

Reminded of as well...

Which brings to mind...something like this is hard enough for his family as it is, now in another country...(at least they speak English).

IMO it's especially imperative that this family have a knowledgable, experienced liason who can help immediately--Beth Holloway come to mind. In her book, Loving Natalee, she talks about some of the international aspects/hurdles, etc, and mentions some important tips, such as enabling international roaming when one travels, parents keeping a notebook upon arrival to the search location , etc etc.

Mark Klaas and Klaas Kids was invaluable in assisting the family of Michelle Le. (Coincidentally, Amber Dubois' mom and Search Dog in training located Michelle.)

Tim Miller is also very experienced in searches overseas/abroad, including ocean searches (NH---note to find TES boat journals):

Recalling another case(s) in Bermuda:
Link in progress
(Can't find it, maybe a brain fart, will keep looking)

If you look on the Daiyl Maily web site there is some news from a poster named PP.
It is not goodnews. I hope someone has made a mistake.

I've never been to Bermuda but a guy I used to work with had been there several times a long time ago. He said that Bermuda had gotten to be kind of a rough place and there were lots of places you didn't go after dark.

„Missing rugby player Mark Dombroski has been found dead, police said this afternoon.
A police spokesman said shortly after 4.30pm: “The search unfortunately has come to an end.”
The news came hours after the mother of Mr Dombroski made a heartfelt plea for the safe return of her son.“

Oh man. How awful. I’m glad he was found though and the family can have closure. I haven’t seen where the police have said this is foul play or not. I’m assuming it is. Poor kid

wow, you go there for a rugby tournament and this happens... life has no playbook. So very very sad for this young man's family and community. May they find good memories to carry them thorough their hardest times.
