Jacksonville police searching for 'depressed and suicidal' mom and her 5 children




On Monday morning, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced they are searching for a Jacksonville mother, Kimber Nicole Clark, 29, and her five children.

Clark is described as a white woman that is five feet and five inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair, with a butterfly tattoo on her left shoulder.

A Missing Child Alert has been issued for the five children: Lashaun Felder,9, Dwayne Felder,8, Ariana Felder,11, King Brody, 2, and Kyliah Holloway, 7.

Police said they are trying to ascertain the safety of Kimber Nicole Clark, who is described as “depressed and suicidal” in a missing-person report filed just before midnight Monday.
Clark was last seen in a black 2007 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck when she met a friend about 11 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot at 8011 Merrill Road, according to the report. The friend told police he had not heard from Clark since September, then she texted him with a request to meet and talk.
Clark said she had recently become homeless and was not sure how she would take care of herself and her five children, the report said. Then she opened up a can of beer and started drinking until the friend told her to dump it and “cut it out and get some help.”
“DCF will not help me with the kids and they will be better off without me,” Clark responded referring to the Department of Children and Families, according to the report. “I am just going to kill myself.”
The friend called police, but Clark left as soon as she realized what he had done, the report said.

Authorities believe they could be with their mother, 29-year-old Kimber Clark. She is described as a white woman with blue hair and brown eyes.

Clark was last seen Sunday, driving off in a 2007 black Toyota pickup truck on Dalehurst Drive.

Merrill Rd is where the Walmart is located where she met a friend, drank a beer in the parking lot and said she was going to kill herself. Dalehurst Drive is not far from there so perhaps LE found her truck on surveillance video driving on Dalehurst Dr? :thinking:

I wonder if the children were in the truck at the time she met with the friend or did she go back to Dalehurst Dr to pick them up?

The reporter in the video at this link says the friend at Walmart saw her oldest daughter in the front seat of the truck and some movement in the back seat but he wasn't sure if all the kids were with her: https://www.wftv.com/news/local/jac...and-suicidal-mom-and-her-5-children/722033841

Also from that video she told the friend her parents are deceased and she is homeless with no place to go.
