Surprised that there isn't a thread for this case yet, though it is still developing. Billy Chemirmir is a Kenyan immigrant who moved to the US in 2003, and began working in the healthcare field in the Dallas, TX area. Working as a home healthcare worker or posing as a maintenance man, Chemirmir would gain entry to the homes elderly women before smothering them with a pillow and stealing their valuables. Texas authorities believe there could be many victims, and are currently reviewing the deaths of 750 elderly women in Dallas, Frisco, Plano, and Richardson. A search of Chemirmir's home revealed "a memorial flier for a 79-year-old woman who died in 2016", a large collection of women's jewelry, and cell phones.
Confirmed Victims
-Billy Chemirmir was arrested on March 20, 2018 and charged with murder. He was already under police surveillance when he was seen throwing a jewelry box into a dumpster. The box belonged to 81-year old Lu Thi Harris, who was found smothered to death in her North Dallas home. Some of her valuables were found in Chemirmir's home.
Other Victims
-Police are also investigating an indecent that took place in Plano on March 19, 2018, in which a man matching Chemirmir's description pushed his way into the apartment of a 91-year-old woman and tried to smother her with a pillow in her bed. A friend called 911 after finding her unconscious and the woman later said her jewelry was stolen. Authorities said multiple elderly women — who were ailing and living alone — have recently died at the same complex as in the Plano attack, the Morning News reports.
-On October 29, 2018 in Frisco, a man disguised as a maintenance worker forced his way inside the home of a 93-year-old woman. The man grabbed a pillow and attempted to smother the woman, before stealing her jewelry box and fleeing.
-As mentioned above police found a memorial flier for a 79 year old woman who died in 2016 in Chemirmir's home, along with a large collection of women's jewelry.
-The Collin County Medical Examiner had recently raised a “red flag” after several older women died at a particular nursing home, and all the deceased lived on the same floor. Chemirmir had also been given trespass notices in 2016 at a retirement community after being accused of posing as an employee.
