Endangered Missing Advisory issued for Omaha woman

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) -- An Endangered Missing Advisory has been issued for a woman reported missing from the Omaha area.

Camisha Hollis, 34, was last seen at her residence at 5604 N 57 Avenue around 4 a.m. Monday morning. Investigators believe she may be in danger.

Hollis is typically seen wearing Victoria Secrets "Pink" clothing and has a tattoo on her left forearm. She is 5'6" and weighs 195 pounds.

Her family is concerned because she has not been seen or heard from since the early hours of this morning.

She may be in her vehicle, a red, 2017 Hyundai Elantra with Nebraska plate VSF459.

Omaha police jailed the father of three children Tuesday, the second day that their mother, Camisha Hollis, remained missing.

Marvin L. Young has not been charged in his girlfriend's disappearance, but a domestic violence case has been opened against him and he is in jail on suspicion of neglecting the couple's children and problems he is alleged to have caused while in a police interview room.

Hollis's last known whereabouts was in the home she shared with Young and her three children.

The oldest child, an 11-year-old daughter, told authorities she heard her parents arguing just after midnight Sunday into early Monday morning.

"They were so scared when we got there, and they were crying because they were there all night and they didn't know what to do. They didn't have a phone to call me because he [Young] took the oldest's cell phone and took the batteries out of the cordless phones," said Hollis.

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - The boyfriend of an Omaha woman missing since early Monday morning will make his first appearance in Douglas County court Thursday afternoon.

Marvin L. Young is facing charges of child neglect and disturbing the peace peace at a police station; he has not been charged in 34-year-old Camisha Hollis' disappearance.

”She said, ‘Mom, this is it.’ And she told him that, and I do believe that is what triggered it," Martha Hollis said.

CASS COUNTY, Neb. (KMTV) - OPD's forensics unit has arrived at the scene of a search in a wildlife area south of Bellevue for an Omaha mother of three missing since Monday morning.

Thursday, Omaha Police and fire crews began scouring the Schilling Wildlife Area for Camisha Hollis, missing since Monday, near Plattsmouth along the Missouri River. An Omaha Fire Department rescue boat could be seen on Schilling Lake and a helicopter was flying overhead.

Officer Phil Anson confirmed Thursday evening the search efforts at the wildlife area are related to finding Hollis. The entrance to Schilling Lake was closed Thursday evening.

Earlier on Thursday, Marvin Young, Hollis' live-in boyfriend, had his bond set at $500,000 for three counts of child abuse and one count of resisting arrest.

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) -- Omaha Police Detectives have located the vehicle connected to Camisha Hollis, the mother of three who has been missing since Monday.

Police tell 6 News the 2018 Red Hyundai Elantra vehicle was located Thursday and is currently being processed by the Forensic Investigations Services Team. A team of investigators also searched Schilling Wildlife Management Area Thursday. OPD Captain Michele Bang told 6 News they were led to the area acting on a tip. Bang said the vehicle was not found in the wildlife area. She said the vehicle was found elsewhere but did not disclose its location. Police had been asking for the public's help in locating Hollis' vehicle as a key piece in their investigation.

Marvin Young, Hollis' longtime boyfriend was arrested Tuesday for three counts child abuse, domestic disturbing the peace and criminal mischief. During Young's bond hearing Thursday, prosecutors said police found drops of the woman's blood and two spent shell casings in the couple's home during their investigation.

Hollis and Young have three children and according to information unveiled in court, Young reportedly gave sleep aids to all three children. The oldest child spit it out and reportedly heard what followed. That included the alleged beating of Hollis with a boot.

Family members say domestic violence was always a part of the couple's 18 year relationship.

Friends and concerned citizens searched a neighborhood Friday for an Omaha mother missing since Easter night.

The group gathered Friday evening at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church near 60th and Walnut, a few blocks north of Center Street, to look for Camisha Hollis and pass out fliers in the area.

Omaha Police said they found Hollis' car Thursday evening in the parking lot of the 402 Hotel, at 2211 Douglas St. They're now looking for video of any movements in the area in recent days.

Police hope to find Hollis alive, but “we are worried the worst has occurred,” Omaha Police Capt. Michelle Bang said Thursday.

Police would not say what prompted them to search Thursday at the Schilling Wildlife Management Area, which is near Plattsmouth.

The 402 Hotel is located in a busy, urban, high traffic area.

IMO, somebody had to see something. Hopefully the hotel has a security camera which will yield more info!

(KMTV) - While a search group organizing through Facebook was meeting Friday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church before beginning their search for Camisha Hollis, an Omaha mother of three missing since Monday, Omaha Police released more details about her vehicle, found downtown on Thursday, and requested the public's help in tracking down more video of the area from this week.

OPD's Homicide Unit is looking for video from the downtown area — from businesses or individuals — that may show anyone coming and going from the red 2018 Hyundai Elantra vehicle, or the surrounding area, between 10 p.m. Saturday, April 1 and 7 p.m. Thursday, April 5. If you have video from this timeframe or any other information to share about this case, the OPD Homicide Unit asks that you call 402-444-5656; or contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at 444-STOP or at omahacrimestoppers.org.
