[h=3]Details of Disappearance[/h] Gloria was last seen in Colorado Springs, Colorado at 6:30 a.m. on October 4, 1994. She called her cousin and said her ex-husband, Michael Ervin Berreth, had paged her and wanted to meet her for breakfast at the Perkins Restaurant at Platte Avenue and Chelton Road. Michael said she never arrived at the restaurant and he waited until 7:00 a.m. before he gave up and left. She also didn't show up for her afternoon shift at the Peterson Air Force Base exchange.

Gloria has never been heard from again. Weeks later, her maroon and red four-door 1991 Ford Escort or Ford Taurus with the Colorado license plate number KAI8506 was found abandoned at the Hancock Plaza shopping center.

Gloria and Michael had been divorced since 1993. She had custody of their two young daughters, and he had remarried. Their relationship was very bad: Gloria had a restraining order against Michael, and claimed he'd violated the order twice in the late spring of 1994.

Michael's then-wife (they later divorced) said her husband was "sweating profusely" the morning Gloria disappeared and appeared "excited." He is is considered a person of interest in her disappearance and has refused to cooperate with the police in her case, but there is insufficient evidence to file charges against anyone.

During a cleanup of their evidence storage areas in 2005, the Colorado Springs Police Department threw away all the evidence they'd collected in Gloria's case. Foul play is suspected in her disappearance, which remains unsolved.

[h=1]Key evidence tossed in Colorado Springs[/h]
They also destroyed all the evidence from the 1994 disappearance of Gloria Berreth, 38, whose parents and daughters never heard from her after she said she was going to meet her former husband, Michael Berreth, for an early breakfast at a Colorado Springs diner.

“At this point, certainly fingers would point at him He’s still a person of interest,” said Colorado Springs police Lt. Skip Arms.

Michael Berreth refused to talk about Gloria’s disappearance.

“I have no comment on anything pertaining to the case,” he said.

Karina Berreth — the woman Michael Berreth married after Gloria and since has divorced — remembers him “sweating profusely” the morning of Gloria’s disappearance.

“I had never seen him so excited in my life,” she said.
El Paso County Court records show that, in 1999, Karina Berreth reported that Michael Berreth threatened her. If she went against his wishes, she “would end up like the last person and they aren’t around,” she reported him saying.

One day, while riding with Michael Berreth on his motorcycle, Karina Berreth says she struck up a conversation about Gloria.

“He said, ‘You know, they’re just never going to find her.’ He said, ‘You know, you just never know where she is. She could be right underneath us right now. You’d never know,'” she says.
Gloria Berreth’s father, Eleodoro Montes, paused for almost a minute when The Post told him that police scrapped all 12 pieces of evidence from her case, including a camera, calendar and handgun.

“So what shall I do with this new information? It has been 12 years already. I’m waiting for 12 years what’s the result of the case,” Montes said. “How do you solve a case without evidence?”

Her 1991 Ford Taurus was found abandoned at the Hancock Plaza shopping center weeks later. Criminal involvement is suspected in her disappearance. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to please contact the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Gloria Berreth was a Filipino-American woman who disappeared from Colorado Springs under suspicious circumstances.

Michael claimed that she never arrived and he left around 7 a.m. Gloria also failed to show up for her job in air force base. Her car was found abandoned at a shopping center weeks later.

Gloria and her ex-husband divorced in 1993. Their relationship was very volatile and Gloria had a restraining order against him.
