I live in the Boston area and never heard about this missing case. There seems to be little/or no press on this one. Bradlees went out of business back in the late 80s/early 90s...

Dianne Licciardello reaches age 29 today, but there will be
no celebrating of-the- event by immediate family.
Mrs. Licciardello, The mother of five
has been missing since last Oct. 12 when she was last seen
leaving her job as a waitress in the suburban Boston area
"We don't celebrate anything now," said Joseph LicciardelIo, 31.
"The Three older kids know what's wrong but the
little one (four year-old David) asks me every day when Mom's
coming home to tell him a story,
"So far I have managed to keep the family together,
but I don't know what will happen in the future."

The last Article I found (so far) was from the Boston Herald 1982

It was full page spread with 1971 pictures of the kids, Dianne and her husband
but the images were not good quality so I cut them out for just the words.
I believe this article is where the picture of Diane in NAMUS came from as it looks the same.
From this article we learn:
She worked at was a Japanese Restaurant in Revere (Previous articles said it was in the Fenway North Motel in Revere)
She left her shift early to go shopping because it was a slow day
A clerk remembered waiting on her at Bradlee's
There was a Carnival set up in the Parking lot of the shopping center and police interviewed Carnival workers at the time
Her husband remarried about 1979 (It says 3 years prior to the 1982 article date)
The older kids went away to college
Quote from her husband: "It was a long time ago and it was quite an adjustment. The kids don't talk about it much. I've put my past behind me and tried to start a new life."

From the above articles we learn her maiden name was Diane Depatto.
But her first name was spelled multiple ways int he articles-- Dianne, Dianna, Diane, Diana, etc.
She was born 1943 in Boston, MA. Her parents lived in Melrose, MA at the time she went missing.
Her address was 29 Ravine Rd in Melrose.
It seems likely that she grew up in the Boston area, for anyone looking for yearbook photos.

Thank you for the newspaper articles. This case really seems to of gotten no press after the first year or so. I've never heard of this case until the last few days. If she grew up in Boston she could've went to any number of high schools public and/or Catholic. Don't want to make too large of an assumption but if you were Italian you may have grown up in the East Boston or north end section of Boston during the late 50s early 60s. So, looking for your books for someone growing up in the basket area in the early 60s may involve looking at several high schools.

Sounds like she was abducted. Is she of Italian descent? If so, there was a headless woman who turned up in Florida 6 months later. Parabon labs determined she was of Italian descent and her direct family would have been around the NY, NJ area.
