Missing child alert issued for Tampa newborn believed to be with parents
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) - - A statewide missing child alert has now been issued for a missing and endangered newborn from Tampa.
On Monday, Hillsborough County deputies said 1-month-old Sage Cooper was last seen Friday at a home on Oak Pride Court in Tampa with his mother, 25-year-old Kaitlynn Lovel.
The sheriff's office says there is a court order pick up for Sage. They believe Lovell absconded with him.
Investigators also believe baby Sage and his mother are traveling with the newborn's father, 32-year-old David Cooper. Cooper has an active warrant for failure to appear for domestic violence and an out-of-state warrant for narcotics.
The trio may be traveling in a bronze 2004 Nissan Altima with Florida license plate JJEM73.
FDLE authorities say if you see the couple or child, you should not approach them. Instead, call 247-8200 or 911.
