Annette does not appear to be in NAMUS or any other missing person's databases at this time.

Her family set up a "Missing" facebook page a couple years ago: https://www.facebook.com/missingannette/

They also made a go fund me page to try to raise money for a reward (We are not allowed to link to it, but it is easy to find with a search)

There is also a thread about her on Topix (which we also cannot link here). Other than that, there is not much online.

I found a historical newspaper article from Huntsville Time, 27 Apr 1986:

Below is a picture and a missing flyer her family posted:

There are more pictures of her on the facebook page but I'm having trouble copying them over here.

This is another case I stumbled upon while looking at Ancestry family trees-- She is listed as Annette Timmons (her maiden name, perhaps?) and under death it says "Missing/Never Found.

Has anyone contacted her family on their FB page? If not I will volunteer. They really need to transcribe those articles and flier then add whatever they can to her page. They really don't have much there except photos. The attached article needs a better copy

The moment I saw her picture and date she went missing, I immediately thought of Lake Ponchartrain Jane Doe, as mentioned by LanadeNay. Great minds!

Definitely email the ME!!! I've found that the NamUs people really like being able to add the new missing people cases that I send them. (I send them a lot...... lol) So don't rule that out tbh!

Thank you for volunteering Roslvr. Please do contact the family and tell them about this thread. I hope we can help them.

If her height on the missing flyer is correct (5' 9") then she is too tall to be Lake Ponchartrain Jane Doe but since you are second one to bring it up I think I will link this in LPJD's thread. You never know, that could be a typo on the old missing flyer.

I think Topix links are ok to post in here as I have seen them posted in many cases here. What is not ok is to copy paste or quote from them. Discussing them and details from them seems to be fine too.

I ended up emailing the ME's office because the individual's email address appears to be invalid or incorrect. I got a bounce back.

I can't read much of the first one but I'm going to attempt to transcribe the second as much as I can read:

EVIDENCE

Although psychic revelations are not considered evidence in murder cases they often give police clues as where to search for bodies. But, according to Kellett, key evidence in the Dodd case has not been pursued.

Blood found on the handle of a shovel at the Dodd home was not analyzed nor was blood on a boot. Fresh dirt was also found on the shovel.

A witness who was not close to the case told police that she heard a car leave the Dodd home and return Sunday morning. The same person said she later saw a man washing out a car with a water hose near the house.

Police reportedly found a bloody handprint on the vinyl top of the car and blood on the seat of the car. According to an article in The Summerville News, the blood was analyzed and deemed human, Then sheriff Gary McConnell said it was assumed to be the blood of Mrs. Dodd.

Mrs. Dodd's car was at the home after she disappeared, as well as her wallet, which her mother now has.
"She always kept her billfold in her purse." "The purse wasn't there, but police found her billfold and gave it to me," she said, holding out the billfold for inspection. Mrs. Dodd's social security card and various receipts were inside but there was no driver's license.

A RUMOR?

Also, after the information came out about the possible Corspewood link, Kellet said someone claimed to have seen and talked to a man who was leaving the area of Corpsewood that Sunday morning. The man supposedly said that he had just buried his dog.

Kellet said that information could be nothing more than a rumor, and Mrs. Timmons said she had heard the same thing.

And there are more rumors and theories. Meanwhile, Mrs. Dodd's parents, three sisters and brother, and her daughter await news about a solution to the mystery.

Mrs. Dodd's daughter, who was eight when her mother disappeared, is now 18 and plans to be married this year. Since her mother's disappearance, she has resided with on of Annette's sisters. Glenn Dodd has since remarried.

I am originally from this town and I seen family and friends sharing this several months back. I advised them to reach out to Websleuths and Charley's project but was told "the case doesn't qualify". I didn't know what that meant and I didn't want to press as I am in no way familiar with it. I wonder why they thought it would not quality?

I always think of Rising Fawn Jane Doe but they were found in 88 but I can't find approximately how long before they were found.

I don't think the Charley Project would turn Annette's family away, it's privately run and not affiliated with any government agency. As long as there is a picture of the missing person and they've been missing for a year, she will add it. I will reach out to the site owner, most of us are familiar with her.

ETA: We would never turn them away, either. We welcome family!!
