SANTA CLARITA, Calif. Homicide detectives among the officers investigating the disappearance of a Canyon County man, whose family returned home Wednesday night to find blood in their driveway and inside their home.

Santa Clarita sheriff's officials say detectives are looking for the man, 43-year-old Raymond Castro, who has gone missing from his family's home on the 27500 block of Evron Avenue.

Authorities say his pickup truck was also missing from the family's driveway. It's a white 1996 Chevrolet pickup truck, license plate number 6K09657. http://cbs2.com/topstories/local_story_082113355.html

The news clip has some more info on this one and gives a little more detail on the incident. It said that there was blood was found in the upstairs bedroom, on the stairs and in the drive way.

"SANTA CLARITA, Calif. -- Authorities said Thursday that a truck belonging to a missing Canyon Country man has been located with a body inside. The identity of the body was not immediately released.


The family of Raymond Castro, 43, returned home at about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday and found blood in the driveway and inside their residence, deputies said. The home is located in the 27500 block of Evron Avenue.


Castro's white 1996 Chevrolet pickup truck was later found at Sierra highway and Highway 14 in Newhall, NBC4 reported."

A Canyon Country woman accused of murdering her husband in 2006 began her 13-year prison sentence today.

Esperanza Castro, 45, was arrested March 24, 2006 after the body of her husband, Ramon, was found in the back of his landscaping truck, which had been abandoned under a freeway bridge on Sierra Highway. The popular gardener, whose clients were shocked at his murder, was bound at the hands and feet and a black plastic bag was wound around his neck...

The first jury deadlocked 9-3 in April 2008 and the District Attorney’s office immediately filed to keep Castro in custody and arrange another trial. According to District Attorney spokeswoman Shiara Davila-Morales, that second trial never happened and a negotiated plea was reached instead.
