(WLKI.com) - (AP) - A judge's decision to release a Fort Wayne woman who was convicted in the drowning death of her two-year-old daughter has angered the girl's father and prosecutors. Judi Noe is being released from prison a little more than a year after she was given a five year prison sentence. Allen County Judge John Surbeck Junior has decided to allow Noe to transfer to a community re-entry program. Noe pleaded guilty but mentally ill to reckless homicide for drowning two-year-old Brieana Jaide Noe, then keeping her decomposing body for nearly three weeks. Surbeck says Noe will be carefully monitored after her release which is scheduled for Monday. The girl's father, Brad May, says he's disgusted by the ruling and believes it is a miscarriage of justice.
