HEALTH chiefs told people worried about bird flu to cook poultry at 700¡C - as hot as erupting volcanic lava.
Red-faced bosses at East Kent Hospitals Trust say they meant to say cook the chicken at 60¡C until the bird's heat is 70¡C inside, when the virus is killed.
But a rogue zero appeared in their advice.
A spokesman said: "People told us it'd certainly be inedible by then!"
