The AMBER Alert for unknown unknown has been cancelled.

Reason: The investigation has found no reports of missing children and no other subjects who have stated they witnessed the abduction other than the initial complainant. Hundreds of phone calls have come in which have revealed no further witnesses to the abduction.

This is so strange.

Something is weird about the whole thing. Maybe someone local to the area can fill us in?

This sounds just like another story a couple of months back. I can't remember where, but a couple of eight year old boys told police they saw a child with a lime green backpack being forced into a car on their way home from school. All of the children who attend that school were accounted for and there were no missing children reports. As far as I know, nothing ever came of it. Would people really make up abduction stories? I don't see what they could get out of it.

I saw this topic last night and saw the Amber Alert, I almost wanted to comment that there was nothing to issue an Amber Alert for but decided not to comment.

Of course you hate for any child to be missing but this one seemed like a useless Amber alert right from the start.

Dulcinea) It does remind one of the other from back a couple of months ago.

There is a harm when Amber Alerts are issued to often without any substance to them, people will become numb to them.

I live 15-miles west of Portland Oregon and saw the news report last night. LE found the bike the girl was supposedly riding but it had been there for hours before the abduction was reported. But no one can place a girl on the bike - except one eye-witness that LE has huge questions about her eye-witness account.
