What a blankety-blank! It is horrible enough that he raped this young boy. To expose him to HIV is definitely premeditated/attempted murder in my eyes. HIV is a death sentence.
 
Raping a child is bad enough, he gave that kid a death sentence. Should be charged with attempted murder.

He should be charged with murder in the 1st degree. The murder just hasn't taken place yet but it will.

(Las Vegas, NV) -- The 14-year-old boy who says he was sexually assaulted by a former police officer claims his alleged attacker threatened to kill him if he told anyone about the assault. According to an arrest report, 39-year-old Shawn Shelton pulled over near a bus stop at Desert Inn Road and Mojave, and called the teen over. Shelton then flashed a badge, claiming he was a police officer investigating a murder, and telling the youth he matched the description of the suspect. That's when police say the teenager was handcuffed and forced to get into the suspect's Hummer. The teen says he was shown *advertiser censored* before being driven to the back of a drug store at Pecos Road and Owens Avenue. The youth told police he was forced to perform a sex act on the suspect. He was later released. Shelton was arrested in Corona, California last Friday. He is now awaiting extradition to Las Vegas.​

Two-Million-Dollar Bail Set For Former Cop Accused Of Sexual Assault 06-02-2006 3:15 PM
(Las Vegas, NV) -- Bail has been set at two-million-dollars for the former police officer accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old Las Vegas boy. Thirty-nine-year-old Shawn Michael Shelton made his first appearance in Justice Court this morning, where his public defender asked that bail be set at 50-thousand-dollars for kidnapping and sexual assault. But prosecutors claimed Shelton was a risk to society, and requested that bail be set at two-million-dollars. The judge granted the request, and set a June 16th preliminary hearing for Shelton. He was arrested last week in Corona, California, and brought back to Southern Nevada yesterday. Police say the suspect claimed to be a police officer and told the boy he matched the description of a murder suspect, during their encounter last month. Police say the boy was ordered into the suspect's vehicle, where he was handcuffed and taken to a desert area in northeast Las Vegas. The victim was assaulted and later released. Shelton is being held in the Clark County Detention Center.

Former Manhattan Beach police Sgt. Shawn Shelton was found guilty Friday in Louisiana of drugging and killing a 19-year-old man during an apparent sexual assault.

Jurors in Natchitoches 10th Judicial District Court took 35 minutes to reach their manslaughter verdict. Shelton, already serving a prison sentence of 35 years to life for raping a 14-year-old boy in Las Vegas, could face up to 40 more years in prison when he is sentenced.

Shelton, 42, killed Justin Daniel James, a Winnfield, La., man who enjoyed cars and girls, and was considering a career in law enforcement.

Natchitoches 10th Judicial District Court Judge Eric Harrington's sentence will be served only if Shelton is ever released from a 35 years to life sentence he received in Nevada in 2007 for kidnapping and raping a 14-year-old boy about seven months after James' death...

Jurors convicted Shelton in March of manslaughter in Justin James' death. James died of a lethal combination of cocaine, Xanax and morphene.

The drugs, prosecutors said, were intended to incapacitate James to molest him. James, who was straight, was discovered in the morning with his shirt pulled over his face. He had nothing on below the waist.

So LE found Polaroid pictures of more young men drugged and being sexually assaulted, but never managed to trace any of the victims...

I wonder how many people this monster infected with HIV, without them even remembering being raped :( And then they could go and unintentionally pass it on to other people...
