I am trying to learn more details about the case.
A man charged in the 2004 strangulation death of a female neighbor pleaded guilty today to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Marcus S. Flowers, who is currently serving a 30-year federal drug and weapons sentence, pleaded guilty in Jefferson County Criminal Court. The murder sentence will be served concurrently with the federal conviction.
Flowers admitted killing Kym Blevins, 32, in August 2004 at her duplex in Jefferson City. He lived in the adjoining duplex to the Carson-Newman College alumna.
