WEST PALM BEACH, Florida — Rush Limbaugh was detained for about three-and-a-half hours at Palm Beach International Airport after authorities said they found a bottle of Viagra in his possession without a prescription.
The 55-year-old radio commentator's luggage was examined by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement after his private plane landed at the airport around 2 p.m. from the Dominican Republic, said Paul Miller, spokesman for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

ICE officials found in Limbaugh's luggage a prescription bottle labeled as Viagra, a prescription drug that treats erectile disfunction, Miller said.

"The problem was that on the bottle itself was not his name, but the name of two Florida doctors," Miller said.

However, the sheriff's office plans to file a report with the state attorney's office.

"We believe there may be a second degree misdemeanor violation, which is possession of certain drugs without a prescription, because the bottle does not have his name on it," Miller said.[/URL]

MIAMI, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Roy Black, Rush Limbaugh's attorney, issued the following statement today in response to several inquiries by the media:
While going through routine Customs inspection of luggage at Palm Beach International Airport upon his return from an international trip, Rush Limbaugh was detained by customs agents after they noticed a non-narcotic prescription drug, which had been prescribed by Mr. Limbaugh's treating physician but labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes. After a brief interview, Mr. Limbaugh was permitted to continue on his journey.

LOL, oh my...can't help but laugh..

No kidding! Nothing says 'I can't get it up' like getting busted with someone else's prescription for Viagra. :D :D :D

How incredibly embarrassing for Rush Limbaugh... of all drugs to get busted at the border with, he has Viagra.

Well considering people can get Viagra on the internet, I think this is ridiculous. I don't care what you think of Rush, how silly if he is in trouble for this. I'd hardly put Viagra in the same category as a narcotic. He had an addiction problem, like many people, many celebrities. But Viagra? We hear ads for Viagra every night on TV. Good grief.

This is true, but the bottle of Viagra had someone else's name on it. I don't know if it's illegal to carry someone else's prescription, but that seems to be what the problem is.... *shrug*

I think the Dr. should be in trouble for falsifying the prescription to hide the true identity of the person it was prescribed for. I think that sort of thing must be against some sort of regulation.

I agree with everything you said. When the news first broke, I thought it was some hardcore drugs. Turns out it was just "hard" drugs.

I heard the most he'll get charged with is a misdemeaner.

Thank God they caught him before it was too late! he may have taken them and.......well I shudder to think!

You know, they give Viagra to geriatric males in nursing homes now. It helps to keep them from rolling out of their beds.

LOL....he'll forever more be known as Rush Limpaugh.
I was thinking the same thing. Guess his first name matched his sex performance so the coxafloppin (too funny) was a need.
