In her opening statement (argument) the prosecutor, Sandra Partridge told the jury: "Despite all efforts to try and confuse this jury, the bottom line is children do not die falling down the stairs". (duh)

Kids die from eating marshmallows too fast. Why can't they die falling down the stairs? Brains are delicate. I've learned that from my daughter's accident.

Gee, I guess all those baby gate companies can close shop since "children don't die falling down stairs". I am pretty sure there are a few coroners who would disagree with her statement.
