L.A. Sheriff Looks Into 50 Missing Women
July 25th, 2006 @ 10:01am

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Homicide investigators are trying to find at least 50 women they have linked to a man who is in prison for killing two women in the early 1980s, officials said.

A sheriff's department statement said they may have been rape or homicide victims between and 1975 and 1984

Maybe this will solve some of our Cold Cases....

This may be a longshot, but I'm wondering if there's a connection to this case:

I've been puzzling over Dorothy's case for a while, and I know some of the
pieces don't seem to fit (she was in Anaheim, these victims were from L.A. and nearby suburbs; he picked women up at bars and Dorothy wasn't known to go to bars) but still I am wondering...

Maybe some of the photos they found on him will help too........:woohoo:

I wonder if they will release the photos to the media????

I wish this guy would write a time management book. I barely have time to get even SOME of my daily stuff done, let alone run out and kill fifty some odd women.

The missing women, according to detectives, are believed to have lived in West LA, Santa Monica, Culver City, Inglewood and local beach cities, and may have been raped or killed between 1975 and 1984.

Anyone who knows any of the women, who are unaccounted for, is asked to call detectives at 323-890-5500.

Wow !!!! I think this could be huge in solving some cold old cases...........

My thoughts exactly! It's exciting to think that at least 50 cold cases could be solved - or even just 5 or 10 cases. Very huge!

Kwatson696, you should also post this over in Cold Cases since so many of them are familiar with the missing & unidentified from the 70's & 80's - the more people looking at those photos the better chance of identifying them.

I certainly hope these women are identified, but I doubt he will remember all the details back to 1975. That's 31 years! Maybe he could, at least, recall what he did with some of the bodies.

I originally posted this in the News section but it was suggested it might do some good here too.

LOL, I just came in to post this. Misterallgood made up images for us to post, and he has a possible match he is sending in. The women in photos 4 and 5 look like the same women in photo 53.
The three women in photo 54, I feel pretty certain I have seen the one on the left in a picture here. She looks like just a kid.

Misterallgood has made this match. Looks good to me, what do you all think?

These photos were found when he was arrested in 1984, and the LE are just now looking into them?

More info: http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/07/25/bill.bradford.ap/index.html

From your link:

The photos and film were seized from Bradford's home when he was arrested in 1984, Peavy said. They went into a case file and remained largely untouched until now.

"I have a number of detectives that I have hired back to look at old cases for DNA evidence and stuff like that," he said. "One of those detectives came forward with these photographs and said, 'You know, this is something that I think we should take a look at.' And obviously we all agreed that it should have been looked at -- probably looked at before now."

....should have been looked at.....that's an understatement! I wonder how many families still have no idea what happened to their loved ones because no one looked any further into these pictures at the time. How many parents have died without answers?

I am really glad someone is finally doing the job.
