BOUNTIFUL, Utah (AP) -- Police found a body stuffed into a freezer after going to a home to check on a 50-year-old woman and her teenage son.
Relatives of Laura Hauck and her 18-year-old son, Jeremy, told police Monday they had not heard from the pair since Friday. They remained missing.
The body was stuffed into a chest freezer headfirst. Officers were waiting for it to thaw before removing it and did not know whether it was a male or female.
Officers entered the condo through an open window on the second floor and noticed a strange odor, Detective Randy Pickett said.
Authorities found a .22-caliber shell http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/B/BRF_FREEZER_BODY?SITE=FLTAM&SECTION=US
