COCOA, Fla. -- Detectives in Cocoa on Friday were trying to figure out who shot a nursing assistant and left her body in a wooded area. The body of Antricia Jackson was found at the end of Abbey Lane on Thursday.

Police were back out in a Cocoa neighborhood Friday afternoon, looking for anyone who might have seen something Wednesday night or early Thursday morning that would lead them to the killer.

Cocoa police walked door to door Friday afternoon, canvassing the neighborhood off of Jackson Street. Police don't know why 27-year-old Antricia Jackson was in the neighborhood or how she ended up in the woods at the end of Abbey Lane.

"The last person that saw her alive saw her about 10:00pm Wednesday evening, so she may have been there all night," said Detective Barbara Matthews, Cocoa Police Department.
