13 accused of spreading Aids in gay orgy
TAIPEI - The Taiwanese health authorities yesterday called for an investigation into 13 men reportedly infected with HIV/Aids who allegedly spread the disease knowingly by taking part in a gay sex orgy, officials said.
Police found amphetamines and condoms as well as 92 men wearing nothing but underwear when they raided an apartment in Taipei last week.
Only one of the men admitted to being infected with HIV/Aids when they were detained for questioning by the police, but a later investigation showed that 13 of them were already on an official list of those carrying the virus.
The findings sparked an outcry from the authorities.
