Please Watch **NBC NIGHTLY NEWS & TODAY SHOW** Nigerian Scams

Hi Everyone. As my signature suggests, I've been on a crusade to get the story into the media about the gross abuse of the Relay telephone service for the deaf. Nigerian con artists are scamming thousands of people every single day using the deaf telephone system. I recently did an interview with NBC on the subject. I just got the call today that is it scheduled to air TOMORROW, Nov 15th on NBC Nightly News and also on Thursday, Nov 16th on The Today Show. Please tune in! I'd love to get some feedback. Thanks...I do plan on watching. Who knows, maybe someday ,someone will figure out why some people have this right of entitlement. That whole you do all the work, I'll take all your money because..fill in excuse here makes me sick.

Sorry guys! :blushing: I just got a very disappointing phone call from the NBC producer. It has been "bumped" due to some developments on the crisis in Darfur. The producer told me he expects it to be on NBC Nightly news on Tuesday, Nov 21st. I haven't heard yet when it will air on The Today Show. I'm going to call him back and find out more on Friday. I'll keep you posted! Thanks for your replies, it's good to see that people care about this topic.

I've worked for years trying to get this story into the media, so this is very disappointing to me. I just hope that it will, in fact, air on Tuesday. The producer sounded pretty confident about that, but until I actually see it, I won't rest easy.... lol

When I get a definite air date, please tell a few people about it. The more people that watch, the fewer victims there will be in the future! That is the ultimate goal that I've worked so hard for!

I will forward this to my ASL professor. I told her awhile back about your crusade. She will be thrilled to know how far you have taken this. Bless you from the bottom of my heart.

Oh, I hate that it has been postponed. I actually have a note on my computer to be sure to watch the news tonight - so I will just have to change the date. Please keep us up to date if it should change again.
