JOSEPHINE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MISSING PERSON CASE 2004-5805

Domingo Ramirez left Cave Junction, Oregon on June 5, 2004 to go camping at Kelly Lake, California. Domingo Ramirez was driving a 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada, dark green in color, similar to the one shown below; Domingo had his companion dog, a three year old pit bull named “Kandi” with him.

When Domingo Ramirez did not return home his family and friends began searching the area around Kelly Lake, California and the Page Mountain Snow Park. For several days, Search and Rescue Units from Northern California and Southern Oregon conducted extensive searches in the area with negative results.

On June 13, 2004 “Kandi” was found near the Page Mountain Snow Park. “Kandi” was injured and after being transported to a local veterinarian it was found that “Kandi” had been shot. “Kandi” has recovered from her injuries.

July 2004 the 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada which Domingo Ramirez had been driving was recovered in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Josephine County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit has identified two men who detectives believe were connected to the Oldsmobile Bravada.

Further it has been determined that this man was in the Happy Camp, California area at the time of Domingo Ramirez’s disappearance and that he was operating a White 1996 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with Oregon plates

The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance from anyone that may have seen or know these two men, and/or their whereabouts and activities in June and July of 2004.

Domingo Ramirez’s family is offering a $10,000.00 for his return.

Confidential Line # 1-800-460-6140 or the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit at 541-474-5153

Thanks MeggilyWeggily. I cannot believe the dog survived, what a fighter she must be. She was probably shot trying to defend her owner. I wonder what evidence they found?

Bumping for Domingo. Missing for 7 years today.

Bumping for Domingo. I'm writing about him for local radio outlet KXCJ, as I have been doing weekly segments on local missing persons cases for their Tuesday Valley News and Views show for quite some time.
