Ground Hog Day 2/2/07

Since Ground Hog's day was on a Friday this year, I tried to convince a few of my friends to take a road trip down to Punxatawny (sp?) to take part in the festivities and enjoy the local town-life. No such luck. Maybe next year I'll have a better shot since it's on a Saturday.

I love Groundhog Day. It's such a nice little event in a world gone mad. My husband once stayed at the hotel that whatshisname stayed in in the movie. Ever since he told me that, I've been begging him to go again and make it a family outing... 2/2 or not! I wonder how far in advance rooms there are booked for Groundhog Day itself. Hmm.

It's going to be 5 degrees for a high here on Sunday. Lyin' rodent!

I tell my kids that if he sees his shadow, 6 more weeks of winter. If he doesn't, spring is just around the corner, in 6 weeks. ;)
