Anna Marie Scivetti
Missing since August 19, 1998 from New York City, New York
Classification: Endangered Missing

Vital Statistics
Date Of Birth: September 20, 1963
Age at Time of Disappearance: 34 years old
Height and Weight at Time of Disappearance: 5'2"; 115 lbs.
Distinguishing Characteristics: White female. Brown hair; brown eyes. Thin build.

Circumstances of Disappearance

Anna was last seen at approximately 2:00pm at an acquaintance's residence in the vicinity of the 840 block of Delafield Avenue in Staten Island, NY.

Her vehicle is also missing and is described as a bluish gray, four door, 1988 Mazda with NY Lic# 420-5GT or U20-5G2.

At the time of her disappearance, Anna had managed to escape a physically abusive relationship, moving out of the Staten Island, N.Y., apartment she shared with her boyfriend, a married man whom she believed was separated from his wife. After she moved out, a suspicious fire burnt down her new apartment, and she found a roommate and another place to live in the community of Tottenville.

On August 19, 1998, Anna was scheduled to meet her new landlord to give him money towards the apartment. She and her new roommate planned to have dinner before heading over to the new place. But Anna never showed.

She was last seen leaving Ferrar Foods in South Plainfield, N.J., where she worked as a receptionist.

Phone records show the last call she made was to the man who Anna had an on and off relationship with for four years. At one point, Anna had obtained an order of protection against her ex-boyfriend, after an incident in which he grabbed her by the shoulders, threw her on the floor, punched her head and pulled her hair. Following that September 30, 1997 occurrence, he was arrested and charged with third-degree assault and second-degree harassment.

Anna would never leave her dog without making arrangements. She also left behind $1000 in the apartment where she was staying temporarily before the move.

I haven't forgotten about Anna's case. In fact, advancing her case is on my mind nearly every day. I'm currently working on creating a digital case file of the information in her case, so if there's a link you've found online and want to add it here, I'd love to take a look!

Anna Marie Scivetti, age 34, Missing since 19 August 1998

Anna Marie Scivetti was an aspiring singer and a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt. Then, at the age of thirty-four, she vanished.

In 1998, Anna courageously escaped a physically abusive relationship with her ex-boyfriend Charles.

She had shared an apartment in State Island, N.Y., with him before breaking away and managing to move out.

After finding a new apartment and a new job as a receptionist, though, Anna’s problems were far from behind her.

Her new place was suspiciously burnt down, and she was forced to find yet another apartment.

But, Anna did not let this bump in the road detour her. Instead, she quickly found another apartment and a roommate.

The new property just so happened to be in Tottenville, where Charles was believed to live with his wife and child.

And on August 19, 1998, Anna was supposed to meet with the new apartment’s landlord to give him a down payment. She also planned to meet her roommate for a celebratory dinner following the exchange...

<<Chorman was rumored to be romantically involved with his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Bump, at the time of her disappearance in 1993. Chorman has refused to cooperate in the investigations of Bumps’ and Anna’s disappearances but has not been named as a suspect by Law Enforcement.

Anna’s family said that she would never leave without saying goodbye, or leave her dog unattended, or leave with no money in her pocket.>>
