Mooers, New York - May 11, 2007
By early morning police were searching this section of northern Clinton County by air and on foot looking for clues that could lead them to the killer.
35-year-old Darcy Manor was working as a caretaker at a seasonal residence. His family became worried when he didn't return home by Thursday evening.
Policed rushed to the residence about midnight where his body had been located.

1992 Ford pick-up truck, teal in color, licence plate number New York 35652JP.

Mooers Murder Suspect Linked to Killings in Canada

1} CANADA_ALT Good evening, I'm Kristin Kelly. And I'm Marselis Parsons. New information about the suspect in a northern New York murder. Police now say 26-year-old Glenn Race is also wanted for killing two people in Nova Scotia. Police believe Race committed the murders in Halifax last week -- and fled west into Quebec -- before crossing the border into New York. There he allegedly killed Darcy Manor at a camp in Mooers. Canadian police today announced they are charging Race with two counts of murder and two counts of robbery related to those killings. Police say Race murdered 44-year-old Michael Paul Knott on May fourth. Then almost a week later, they say he killed 45-year-old Trevor Brewster. ((DEP. CHIEF CHRIS McNEIL/HALIFAX POLICE DEPT.: Mr. Race had become a person of interest in the last few days of the investigation as leads started to come forward. It's safe to say since his arrest in Texas a number of new leads have emerged as a result of that arrest)) Brewster's car was stolen and it is still missing today. Police are looking for this 2004 two-door Black Honda Civic. They believe that Race drove it from Nova Scotia into Quebec. Police suspect he ditched the car in Canada and walked across the border into New York State. According to C-T-V, Race has a previous arrest for trespassing for living in an unoccupied residence. And neighbors in Halifax told the Canadian news organization that just a few weeks ago -- they saw Race sitting on his front step, naked, holding a gun.

The case of a mentally ill Nova Scotia man who claimed to be a vampire slayer when he killed two men in 2007 concluded today when a judge said he wasn’t criminally responsible for the crimes.

Judge Kevin Coady of Nova Scotia Supreme Court says Glen Race was too mentally ill with schizophrenia to understand that what he was doing was morally wrong.
