Im seeing a disaster waiting to happen

I would think metal detectors with guards and locked college classrooms could be used to decrease the possibility of it without having the need for armed guards.

I've spent decades on college campuses, both as a student and as a professor.

I can't remember many if any college students or professors I would trust with a gun.

I remember a similar idea surfacing after the Ahmish classroom shootings. I thought it was preposterous then and I think it's preposterous now.

Go figure it's my hometown state putting forth such nonsense!

Can you imagine thirty students marching up to the head of the class, drawing their guns, and announcing "No class today, Professor!).

College age students can still be pretty darn dumb, sober or drunk, I don't think we need to arm them as well. Bad, bad idea in my opinion!!
