  • Discovered on August 21, 2001 in Caernarvon Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania
  • It is believed that she had been dumped at this location within 7 - 8 days prior to her discovery.
  • State of Remains: Advanced state of decomposition
  • Cause of Death: undetermined.
Vital Statistics



  • Estimated age: 25 - 35 years old
  • Approximate Height and Weight: 5'5 ½"; 110-130 lbs.
  • Distinguishing Characteristics: Short black curly hair. There was a scar on her lower abdomen that was from a hysterectomy operation. She had no tattoos. Bust size: 36-C. Fingernails and toenails were painted purple . Her ears were pierced once.
  • Dentals: Very good condition (straight) with no dental work.
  • Clothing: Purple cotton gym shorts (large). Black bra (size 36-C). Zebra striped panties. Multicolored bandanna on her head that was mostly black. A pair of small gold colored hoop earrings (costume jewelry).
Case History
The body the victim was located along Quarry Road, 1/10 mile south of Route 10, Caernarvon Township, Berks County, PA on August 21, 20001 at about 7:00 P.M. .
She was located approximately 20 feet off of the roadway in the weeds. She was stuffed inside a large heavy-duty black plastic bag. She was in a fetal position inside the bag. This location is approximately ¼- ½ mile from the PA Turnpike, Exit 22 (Morgantown exchange).
The toxicology results indicated that she did NOT have drugs or alcohol in her system. Both thumbprints from the victim were obtained.

Lillian Nance fits all the known stats and the thing that caught my eye was that she fits the time frame better than the rest of the missing people in this time period and resembles the recon the most. Her circumstances leave room for her leaving willingly or an abduction. There was meant to be a sighting of her a year after but there was no confirmation that it was her.

It's been 15 years to the day (August 21) since this girl was found. I pray that by next year we will have found her name :rose::rose:
 
Three years older than the estimate and from Arizona but I think she looks like a bit like the UP, moreso in her younger picture.

It says she has an abdominal scar, but not why she has it.

An autopsy was done, but investigators still don't know how she died, though they believe it was likely a homicide.

Dental records were inconclusive in identifying her, and her DNA profile never hit a match, so not long after she was discovered on that hot 21st day of August in 2001, her case quickly went cold.

20 years later, unknown woman's death still a mystery
