GUILTY OK - Cori Baker, 13, Tulsa, 9 Nov 2007

Uhmmm, that's it?! She's been missing for 4 days now-and all she gets is a little blurb?! She's not on the NCMEC, they didn't issue an amber alert-nothing? I did a search and the already posted article was all I could find. This poor girl.

The search is on for a missing 13-year-old girl. Cori Baker's family hasn't seen her or heard from her since after school on Friday. She's a seventh grader at Union and instead of riding the bus home, some kids saw her get into a car with a young man, someone she knew. News On 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright reports police suspect foul play.

Tulsa police are searching along the Arkansas River near 27th Street for a missing 13-year-old girl.

Police believe that Cori Baker was killed by an 18-year-old who is her older sister's boyfriend.

Marquis Milton Bullock was arrested about 11:45 p.m. Monday and booked into the Tulsa Jail on complaints of first-degree murder and kidnapping.

Bullock was dating Cori's older sister, Courtney and police arrested him Monday night for kidnapping and murder. He was seen picking Cori up from school and blood was found in his car and on his shoes. Police say he lied twice about where he was Friday afternoon. Bullock is also the one who directed police to the river location.

I swear...it seems we are hearing about a different child being kidnapped and killed everyday. This just has to stop.

I have seen that too, that people are saying they didnt do anything till Monday. And what about this new article that talks about the sister?

When police asked Cori's sister about the incident, she said initially that Bullock had been in bed with her at that time, the document states.
But then she "started crying and admitted that Bullock and Bullock's mother, whose name was not released, told her to tell the police that Bullock was with her Friday afternoon.”
Upon further questioning, she said Bullock came home about 3:30 p.m. — about 90 minutes after witnesses said he picked up Cori from school — and told the sister to go into their child's bedroom because he had a gift for her. The sister told police that when she came out of the bedroom, she saw Bullock cleaning his shoes in the bathroom sink, and then took a black backpack to his car, the affidavit states.

Volunteers focus their efforts in secluded areas.

About 100 new volunteers joined the search Saturday for a 13-year-old girl who was reported missing more than a week ago.

"We still need more searchers," said Suzanne Slavin, a volunteer with the Laura Recovery Center, an organization which assists in helping to find missing children.

Cori Baker disappeared Nov. 9 and is believed to have been killed.

Police on Monday arrested Marquis Bullock, the boyfriend of Baker's older sister, on murder and kidnapping complaints in connection with her disappearance, according to his arrest report.

Police believe that Bullock, 18, picked up Baker from school and killed her, the report states. Her family reported her missing when she did not return home.

Volunteers searched in groups of seven near Baker's school, along the Arkansas River and other places inside a 5- to 10-mile radius of where Baker was reported missing, said Bob Walcutt, executive director of the recovery center.

Police also looked for Baker in south and east Tulsa and parts of Broken Arrow, said Sgt. Mike Huff.

Meanwhile, new details in the search for Cori Baker surfaced Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

Police received a tip that someone may have picked up a compact disc player, a black purse and a yellow pullover shirt near 145th East Avenue, between 31st and 51st streets on Nov. 10, Sgt. Mike Huff said.

Police believe the CD player and the purse belonged to Baker, who disappeared Nov. 9 and is believed to have been killed. “To us that’s big news,” Huff said. “That’s a significant break in the case.”

Authorities also believe that Marquis Bullock, 18, was wearing a yellow shirt during Baker’s disappearance.

Police alter focus in search for girl

Marquis Milton Bullock, 18, who is being held as a suspect, directed police last week to hunt the Arkansas River “to throw us off,” said Sgt. Mike Huff, who heads the Tulsa Police Department’s homicide unit. “The guy is a liar,” Huff said Wednesday at a news conference held by a volunteer group that is continuing to aid in the search for Cori Baker, who has been missing since Nov. 9.

The search for missing 13-year-old Cori Baker has been expanded to include another missing person. Volunteers are now also searching for Angie Tucker. The mother of two has been missing since November 3rd.

The community response to Cori's search has been so great at this time of giving, the Baker family wanted to do the same for another family.

Linda Baker cannot imagine Thanksgiving without her granddaughter. While she mourns, she realizes she's not alone. Linda says, "Tomorrow the mother of those girls and our family gonna be somebody missing in their family and our family."

Angie Tucker has been missing since November 3rd, leaving behind two young children. Volunteers are now searching for both Tucker and Baker.

I am so glad to see Equusearch here to search for Cori. LE exhausted the search of the Arkansas river and they need fresh eyes to come on board to find this girl. I wish Bullock would just tell them where he put her.

Angie needs to be found, too. Her case is more mysterious than Cori's and there is still no word on her whereabouts. Both families need to find out what happened. Bless their hearts.

Tulsa police & volunteers searching for clues to Cori's disappearance near small town of Taft, west of Muskogee, 50 miles southeast of Tulsa.
Police have gathered forensic evidence that leads in that direction Sgt. Mike Huff said.

Cori's been missing exactly one month today, I wish they would find her for the sake of her family. I will not let my mind imagine what their going through.

Is there any news regarding Cori, are they still searching? I know that the weather is bad throughout OK. Has that told LE anything yet? I've been praying for her family.
