Results of the examination revealed the remains were of a
female, 30 to 50 years of age, with a predominantly
Caucasoid genetic ancestry.

Caucasoid genetic ancestry? Perhaps LE should realize that the use of such bombastic terms may result in a lot of people thinking they are referring to an alien creature.

Bumping case up. Could she be one of the many Jane Does found in the Northeastern US around the late 1970"s?

One of the more mysterious disappearances is that of Jane Smith, also a student at Laurentian. In the summer of 1975, Smith, 20, was last seen in her apartment on Charlotte Street just before going to sleep at 2 a.m. A few hours later, at 7:30 a.m., she was nowhere to be found.

All her personal belongings were left behind. To date, investigating officers haven't been able to rule out the possibility she met an untimely end.

She disappeared on the day I married my husband. How tragic for her family to be missing her nearly all of my adult life...............

I wonder a few things here:

who saw her in her apt at 2:00am?
or is it assumed she was in her apartment at that time?

how did they know only 5.5 hrs later she was missing? 7:30 is early in the morning and so soon after she was supposedly last seen isn't that rather quick to conclude she is missing?

as to being seen at 2am in her apt can only be a roommate. this person heard, saw nothing?

Sudbury university student went missing 44 years ago
"Despite the passage of time, a Facebook page has been set up in an effort to find her. Go to Jane Smith – Missing Person.

“She went to high school in Aurora …” the page said. “If you knew her please contact us.

“Pls feel free to share. If you want to tell us something confidentially pls email me at aasmith75@hotmail.com

“If you have any info about Jane’s whereabouts or details regarding this case please contact us or the Sudbury police.”

A reward was put up by Smith’s parents and friends, and Laurentian students held fundraisers to supplement the reward.

“She had no reason to run away,” her mother, Isabel Lewis, told The Star a year after her daughter disappeared."

"Lewis said Jane was well-liked and had been working for the summer at the Canadian Tire on Barrydowne Road."
