A man left for work Monday morning at 6 a.m. and hasn't been seen since, causing his family concern and the sheriff's office to investigate.

Troy Paul Tyo left his home on Sarah Street in Allegan to go to work at the Perrigo Warehouse. He was wearing dark blue cargo pants, camouflage boots, a Perrigo sweatshirt, a light blue jean jacket and a black baseball cap with gold lettering.

Tyo was driving a 2005 white GMC Sierra extended cab pickup with the Michigan license plate number of 2JBB86. The truck has a Harley-Davidson sticker in the rear windown and a red-white-and-blue sticker in the windshield.

If you have any information, you're asked to call the Allegan County Sheriff Department.

Near a trash container close to Troy Tyo's mobile home, evidence of his disappearance and apparent beating sat unreported for more than a day, police said.

Allegan County sheriff's Lt. Frank Baker said investigators were told Tuesday around noon about the presence of blood and "other items" that indicate an assault occurred in the Dumont Creek Estates park along M-40.

Other residents of the mobile home park told police they noticed what authorities are calling the location of a possible altercation tied to Tyo's disappearance. The 36-year-old failed to show up for work Monday and had not contacted relatives and friends since.

A man and woman are being held on an open murder charge after a body was found in a burnt truck that matched the description of one owned by a missing Allegan man.
The Allegan County Sheriff's Department told 24 Hour News 8 the interior of the truck was burnt, and there was a considerable amount of blood at the scene.
Authorities also confirmed the woman, 38, and the man, 28, were acquaintances of Troy Tyo, the man missing since he left for work at Perrigo Monday morning. Additionally, police searched Tyo's ex-wife's house in Gobles.
An autopsy is being performed on the body, and a confirmed identity will be released afterwards.
The man and woman in custody are scheduled for arraignment Monday afternoon.

This is my neck of the woods. Jeesh! I can't believe she and her new husband thought they could get away with this.

This is ALL everybody in town is talking about. Everybody knows everybody else in this town. Heck, most of them are related to each other.

I was talking to my sister and I remarked that she (the ex-wife) viewed Troy as a "inconvenience" and that's why they (allegedly) killed him. My sister said, "that's the word I was trying to think of when I was thinking of a possible motive for her to do this." Sociopath.

Ugh. What a tragedy. She's an idiot.

They're being arraigned tomorrow. That ought to be interesting.

In what way was Troy an "inconvenience?" Good grief.

Hoppy-

I mean he was an obstacle in her way. No more, no less. My sister said there was a custody battle involving their children. I guess she thought this was the best way to end the custody battle.

That's why I think she's an idiot.

Thanks for your explanation, Willow. Now I see what you mean.

The arrest of a second couple in the killing of Troy Tyo, the Allegan Township man who disappeared Dec. 3, brought devastation and disbelief.

Even police were surprised by the case, in which a brother and sister and their spouses face charges.

"I don't want to say 'bizarre,' but this is just an act you either read about in a book or (see) in a movie," Allegan County sheriff's Lt. Scott Matice said Tuesday.
