There has been no activity reported on her cell phone or credit cards since she went missing.

A search resumed Wednesday for a Pennsylvania woman last seen in Hancock County.

Karen Adams, 54, of Independence Township, Pa., was last seen in Chester in March.

Pennsylvania State Police and the Hancock County Sheriff's Department scoured areas from Chester to Weirton by ground and by helicopter Wednesday.

Hancock County Sheriff Mike White said crews wanted to wait until the leaves were off the trees so they could do an aerial search to determine if Adams' vehicle went over an embankment.

A cell phone call made the night Adams went missing was picked up by a tower in the southern part of Steubenville, leading police to believe Adams will be found in the areas they are searching.

Think she won big?
or someone saw her gambling with a lot of money and assumed they'd be able to rob her for a good bit of $$?

My father has been walked out by security when he won big at a track here. They even have a special collection window, so all someone has to do is watch the window and know who won big that night and follow them out...

A family friend was robbed recently after a night of poker. Someone saw her turn in a bunch of trays and assumed she was cashing them all in (she was leaving them for credit for the next time). They followed her home and robbed her, but only got about $20.

Karen S. Adams was last seen at a popular gambling location in Hancock County, West Virginia. On the evening of March 11, 2007, Adams drove her red/maroon, four-door, 2005 Suzuki Forenza sedan with Pennsylvania license plate ETD5587 just across the Pennsylvania state line to the Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Resort to play bingo. She was seen there and was known to have left the bingo area around 11 p.m. that evening, possibly headed to the gaming side of the resort to play the slot machines. She was observed on surveillance video at approximately 3 a.m. on the morning of March 12, 2007, leaving the gambling complex and she has not been seen nor heard from since that time. Her car has also not been located.

Bolded respectfully by me.

I know this thread isn't for discussion but rather support and info.

I did pull up a map of the route that Karen probably travelled that night.

The river really needs to be looked at. Have they done the ariel searches yet?

Come home soon Karen. Just by looking at the map I can tell that, more than likely, you are just waiting for someone to come get you sweetheart.

Prayers for your family Karen.

What a coincidence! This is wonderful news. Prayers for Karen's family!

Sonar Technology Will Be Used to Find Missing Woman

Beaver County District Attorney Anthony Berosh said cars don't just vanish, and Wednesday, they'll be searching the waterways in the area.

“People sometimes associate a cold case with a closed case. To show you that it isn't closed, we have access to a new sonar technology that we'll employ over significant bodies of water approximately in the last area where we believe she was in. So hopefully, we'll be able to explore those possibilities that the car, for example, is in a river or a large lake,” said Berosh.

Adams' family is also very hopeful that answers will be found.

Please let Karen's family find the answers they have been looking for for the past 3 years.

Authorities Find Vehicle in Ohio River

Brooke County authorities are at the Stuebenville Marina working to pull a car from the bottom of the Ohio River.

Just this week, Pennsylvania authorities were searching ponds and the river looking for Karen Adams, 55, of Industry, Pa., who disappeared three years ago from Mountaineer Racetrack and Casino.

Authorities have stated that the last phone call made from Adams’ cell phone hit a cell phone tower in Steubenville, which can be seen from the marina.

I don't understand why it took them 3 years to check the river, it's so sad it took so long.

Karen has now been missing for 10 years. She disappeared while driving in the middle of the night much like Toni Anderson did recently. I doubt it would surprise anyone here if her vehicle is also eventually found submerged in a body of water. It does appear that some bodies of water were searched for her vehicle. Some of the links posted earlier in the thread no longer work but it would be nice to know which ponds were searched and from where to where the Ohio River was searched. And of course she wouldn't be the first to be found in a body of water that was previously searched. Karen is one of about 200 people that I've been able to catalog and map that is missing along with a vehicle.

Here's a map with pins for the casino, the town she was living in (don't know the specific address), and town her phone last pinged in: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?...Y&ll=40.48669743248164,-80.5753980701569&z=10

Missing Podcast just released an episode about Karen's disappearance.

This case is kind of local to me, but this is really the first I have heard about it. I think they need to look in the rivers since her car hasn't been found either.

KAREN S. ADAMS | Federal Bureau of Investigation

When Israel Keyes was arrested in 2012 for the murder of Samantha Koenig in Alaska, police found she was not his only victim — he was, according to the FBI, "a prolific serial killer."

He is working with nonprofit Private Investigations for the Missing to raise money, for example, for a billboard campaign to help find Karen S. Adams, a woman who went missing in West Virginia in 2007. He also organized a ***that has raised more than $25,000 for Meaghan Good, who maintains The Charley Project, a free online database profiling missing people that Hallmark uses in his research.

The name "True Crime Bullsh**" is not just commentary on the genre, it's also also drawn from Keyes himself, Hallmark said.
