Parents Salvador Sanchez-Laurean and Elvira Ramirez de Laurean are both Mexican immigrants as well who purchased a home in Las Vegas in 2002 and then sold the home in 2006.

In 2006 Cesar and his wife from Ohio Christina Smith-Laurean, whom he married in 2005 in North Carolina, purchased their home at 103 Meadow Trail in Jacksonville, North Carolina and gave birth to their daughter in that same year. The whereabouts of Cesar's parents have not been disclosed to the public.

PROSPECT — Daniel E. Shifflet, 64, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 29, 2007, at his residence. Born Nov. 6, 1942, in Marion, he was preceded in death by his mother Nellie I. (Brammer) Shifflet-Galleher- Schotte and his father, Joseph W. Galleher and his stepmother, Alice Shifflet-Turner.

Dan graduated from New Bloomington High School in 1960.

On Aug. 19, 1963, in Monroe, Mich., he married Patricia Leaper and she survives in Prospect.

He is also survived by a son, Bruce (Debbie) Shifflet, Prospect; grandchildren Christina ( Cesar ) Laurean , Jacksonville, N.C., Amber (Tyler) Emrick of Jacksonville, N.C. and Robert Shifflet, Prospect; great-grandchildren Abrianna and Caleb; brothers Dwight Shifflet of Stover, Mo., and John (Mary) Shifflet, Eldon, Mo., and half brothers and sisters Roscoe (Sue) Shifflet, Roger (Cindy) Shifflet, Dale Shifflet, Phyllis Shifflet, Juanita (Larry) Cravener and Gloria (Delmar) Herdman, al of Columbus.
 
Marine Cpl. Cesar Armando Laurean was born on November 13, 1986 in Mexico. His parents, Salvador Laurean and Elvira Ramirez are also Mexican immigrants who used to live at 233 Coconut Grove, Las Vegas, Nevada, but sold their home in 2006. Perhaps they live at the same residence in Jacksonville, N.C. now?

Marine Cpl. Cesar Armando Laurean married Christina Sue Smith on August 12, 2005 and the had a daughter Abrianna Sue Laurean in 2006.

On October 31, 2006, Cesar and Christina purchased their home at 103 Meadow Trail, Jacksonville, North Carolina for $115,429.00 on a V.A. Loan.

Hometown friends and neighbors remembered a slain Marine on Monday as a tough-minded, highly competitive prep athlete who left Ohio right out of high school for the military.

Others knew her through youth theater and other activities, including softball and soccer. She was a standout in both sports.

"Her goal was to be a Marine and wear the uniform," said neighbor Kent Zimmerman.

....Camp Lejeune, where she and Laurean were personnel clerks assigned to the 2nd Marine Logistics Group of the II Marine Expeditionary Force.

Lauterbach's mother, Mary Lauterbach, has said the physical demands of the Marines appealed to her daughter and that she liked boot camp. Her father, Victor Lauterbach, is an Air Force Reserve master sergeant in the 87th Aerial Port Squadron, which is part of the 445th Airlift Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton. The couple adopted Maria as a baby. They have four other children.
