Woman finds bobcat in her basement

Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening. She leaves a basement window open so her cats can come and go.

I feel bad they had to put it down, but imagine if it had been a child and not a woman it attacked?

I wonder if the opening in the window could be made smaller so the pet cats can still come and go, but nothing else can get in???? I think I would be worried about my cats going outside if there are indeed wild bobcats in the area. My two cats are inside cats - they're scaredycats too. They won't even go into the garage! :chicken: :chicken: :chicken:
