After being stranded for nearly 10 hours on a snowy Wisconsin interstate along with hundreds of other cars and trucks, Peter Freeman vowed Thursday to listen to his wife the next time a blizzard is brewing.
........
Snow accumulation along the clogged stretch of interstate reached as high as 21 inches, with drifts up to 4 feet high, officials said.

At the height of the traffic backup, observers in National Guard helicopters counted 689 semitractor-trailers and 663 other vehicles stranded on the northbound interstate from just south of Janesville to Edgerton, according to the Wisconsin Emergency Management department. On the southbound interstate, 567 semitractor-trailers and 134 cars were stranded, the department said.

That's what they all say! But will he really listen next time? NO!

Been there, done that...not doing it again tomorrow!!

Blizzard of 93...traveling back from Fla to Ind

They shut the interstate down in TN and we were still in GA.
Bunch of tornadoes in Fla the night before we left. Lots of places without power and could not pump gas.

We barely made it to get gas at one place off the beaten bath. We slept one night on an exit ramp in GA.

Was not a pleasant time but we didn't suffer too bad. Many others had small children and animals with them. We did not.
