Sheriff's deputies searched the home of a missing Cayucos woman for a third time on Monday seeking clues to her disappearance.

They visited the house where Dorothy Vivian Autrey, 84, lived with her grandson on Hacienda Way.

Autrey was reported missing by her grandson, Matthew Levine, on Feb. 21. He was the last person to see Autrey alive, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

More forensic tests, including a DNA test, were done on Levine, 35., according to the Sheriff’s Department.

Another day of deliberations, and still no verdict in the case against a Cayucos man accused of killing his grandmother.

36-year-old Matthew Levine could face 25 years to life in prison if the jury finds him guilty of murdering Dorothy Autrey. She was reported missing back on February 21 of last year. Levine later confessed to killing her and dumping her body off a cliff near Ragged Point.

I hope that they find her soon.

Dorothy Vivian Autrey's grandson killed her in her Cayucos home in 2008, then stuffed her into a suitcase and dumped it over a guardrail north of Ragged Point. The body has never been found.

Matthew Levine was sentenced to at least 25 years in prison for murdering his grandmother, who was 84.

Levine told sheriff's officials he accidentally killed Autrey the night of Feb. 20, 2008, when he was high on marijuana and Robitussin-DM.
