I loved his films. Anthony Minghella was too young, at 54. :(

i will always love Truly, Madly, Deeply.

The talented Mr Minghella

The film debut of director and screenplay writer Anthony Minghella - who won the best director Oscar for The English Patient in 1997 - could not have been better.

In 1991, former Hull University lecturer Minghella wrote and directed the tear-jerker Truly, Madly, Deeply, starring Alan Rickman and Juliet Stevenson.

I liked his films, too. His son, Max, is also very talented. My husband and I are sad to hear this. I wonder what happened.

I am really sad to hear this. I love the films him and Jude Law have done. I'm a huge Jude Law fan. They recently did a movie together called "Breaking and Entering" which for some reason got very little screen play in the US but it was a really good movie. JL fans will love it.
