Beyoncé Knowles and longtime beau Jay-Z have taken out a marriage license in Scarsdale, N.Y., PEOPLE has learned.

According to a source, the pair obtained a license Tuesday morning. The document is valid for 60 days.

A rep for Beyoncé told PEOPLE, "No comment." Jay-Z's spokesperson could not be reached.

I like this couple. They seem really grounded.
 
I like both as singers...and this may sound rude but WHAT does she see in him?
I guess love is blind....hell, I'm certainly no prize either.
 
they've been together for a LOOONG time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is one hollywood relationship that hasn't been rushed into!!

You're right about that. At least by now they probably no each others bad sides and quirks and have decided they can live with it!!!
 
I think a lot of people have been wondering just when this relationship would be a finalized deal.

I don't know what she sees in him either, and we know it's not money...
 
Jay-Z is an extremely smart & talented guy. I don't think he is sexy in the looks dept. but to me smart & talented more than makes up for that and I find that very sexy! :) Oh and he is very confident..definate plus! :crazy:

There was a swirl of activity Friday at the rap mogul's Tribeca apartment. Delivery trucks funneled in and out of the building, dropping off silver candelabras and white flowers. A white tent was set up on the roof, and stars including Beyonce's former Destiny's Child bandmates, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, along with Gwyneth Paltrow, were spotted arriving

From People magazine: "After years of speculation, singer Beyoncé Knowles wed her longtime boyfriend, rapper Jay-Z, on Friday, a friend of the couple's tells PEOPLE.

Though there is no official confirmation, the friend says, "It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair – close friends and family."
