A 7 yr old child in Palm Beach, FL, stole his grandma's SUV because he was mad and wanted to have some fun. So him and his 7 yr old smoking friend (yes, a 7 yr old friend that smokes cigarettes) took off in grandma's SUV. Now, most kids would be scared off their tails to draw the kind of attention this young boy has drawn, from police and his family... but not this kid. :| I have a feeling that this will not be the last time that child gets into criminal level trouble. (warning: his attitude in the video may tick you off... I know it did me... he better be glad I am not his momma.)

Oh dear God... He said ''ít's fun to do bad things''.. Whoop his A$$$$$$$$$ I don't care! (he smokes with cigarettes that was kinda funny the way he said it)

This poor kid has most likely had little parental supervision for a good few years, to have no fear and do that much damage to the car, and have the mouth he has.

Hope he gets the help and guidance he needs now, or we will be seeing him again in the not so distant future.

"No video games for a weekend" is what he thinks his punishment should be. No video games for a WEEK is what my son gets if he doesn't put his laundry away.

The mom says she'd like to whoop his behind, but she's afraid of being taken to jail.

This kid needs some serious intervention very soon. Maybe start by breaking ties with the bad influence smoking friend.

This kid has a terrible attitude. His grandmother shouldn't have to hide her keys from him but she'd better. That and anything else she thinks is valuable. Can you imagine her insurance bill after this?

What the heck is "hood rat stuff"?

Yeah, he would be shoveling horse doodie all summer somewhere if he were my kid. And a few other things. That attitude needs to be knocked out right now before he gets worse!

Did you hear at the end when LE is asking him "do you understand your grandma is going to have to pay for those cars you hit", the little brat says "Can my mom help her?"

This childs attitude is shocking and that can my mom help her comment had me floored. This child wouldn't see the light of day for a long time if this were my kid. I hope the are able to do something about his attitude right now becaus he is just going to keep getting worse.....much worse.

No video games, period. Where does a 7 year old get these ideas? Grand Theft Auto, maybe? Who knows, but if the kid likes being bad, then playing the typical violent video game couldn't possibly help that. If I were that parent I'd either get rid of TV/video or really restrict it.

My neighbor called her daughter a hood rat one time and I asked her that same question lol.. She never really explained it to me she just said that her daughter was acting like one. (her daughter was doing some kind of dance that apparently her mom didn't like) :waitasec:

This kids need to be sent to a boot camp for the summer. His behavior is no doubt learned, he has grown up with the mentality that doing bad things and "hood rat" things is cool and that's what he wants to be is a .

I think it goes much deeper than video games and tv... he's only 7 and has such a defiant "doesn't give a crap" attitude that astounded me... which makes me question his home and neighborhood environment. Personally, I think the child should be put in a behavioral treatment center for an evaluation, and the family environment scrutinized. This isn't a matter of him just taking grandma's car for a joy ride... the kid had every intention of causing trouble and purposely hit other cars to have fun, before the final wreck that stopped him. He could have killed someone... and if LE doesn't prosecute the issue, at the very least they should make him and his mother stand in front of a judge and the judge order that the child get some help, and that the mother follows through on it. They need to try to nip it in the bud right here, right now... because if they don't, that child's awful attitude is just going to keep escalating... and innocent people will be the ones to take the brunt of his horrible attitude.

Amen, elphaba. That kid needs to stand before a judge w/a good, stern attitude.

I still remember taking my dd to juvy court because she made an illegal turn and caused an accident as a minor. I wanted the law to come down on her hard. We sat there (she in fear because I had worked her up :D ) waiting for the moment when some woman came in and said "Just pay this $75 fine and you are free to go." I was flabbergasted. What lesson was learned there? I didn't want her doing jail time, but certainly some community service and a few harsh words from a judge were in order. :( Well, she paid the fine, paid for our car to get fixed and did a heck of a lot of community service.

I hope this boy gets the full treatment and some help.

I have a feeling the grandma is more upset about her SUV than she is that her 7 yr old gs is already a hood rat. We'll probably be reading about him in the news down the road.

They should sell all his toys and games to pay for her insurance increase and all the other damages they will have to pay out-of-pocket!

That is a perfect TM and they should definatly start here. I also think this kids needs a behavorial specialist to interviene. Getting him new friends is a must as well.

Hi Cali! I wonder if he'll be charged with anything as a juvenile? I wonder how that works there.

I thought the area they lived in looked pretty nice. They said "mother's townhouse" so I don't think they live in the ghetto. Like others, I do wonder what kind of cigarette that other kid was smoking!

I can't watch the video on my school computer. Everybody keeps mentioning his bad attitude. 7 is normally such a sweet age -- my kids didn't start getting attitude until puberty.

It does sound like the kid idolizes the life. Hopefully it's not too late to turn him around.

Hi TM!!!!!:blowkiss:

Lol I wonder what he was smoking too! I would think he would be charged as a juvenile , at seven I think they would have to. I just hope they get this kid and his his family the help he needs now before he gets any older.

It's sad but your right. Most of these kids have no parental guidance and do whatever they want. Later when they get a little older they turn to serious crime.

Talking about video games they probably let him play the violent games like ironically enough "Grand Theft Auto" which should never be played by children and in some cases adults too.

Such a shame for many kids these days! Mine son just turned 3 and am saddened by these kids who have nobody to care for them or are abused.

That was exactly the attitude he presented, Mr. E. He didn't show any sign of remorse either. It was "fun" hitting other cars! Grrrr....
